Our third time here. It's become an anniversary tradition. The Inn is staffed by friendly, attentive people. It's not a town you come to for mile a minute activity. It's a place to allow down, enjoy the peaceful lake, walk around town pretty much day or night without ever feeling unsafe, and taking slow rides around the lake on the Hardly Able with Will. If you're into hiking, there are plenty of options all around the area. Visit the Air Museum and Auto Museum on Saturday for sure. This is a town where the prime directive is to allow down, stop stressing for a little while, appreciate nature, and have spontaneous conversations with complete strangers while eating some ice cream and petting someone's dog. We love it here.

We had an amazing dinner and can't wait to go back! Literally a hidden gem.Been past many times and decided to try. It was very quiet with only a few people on a Sunday in November. Upon entering hotel it smelled so clean and the dining was under the hotel. The dining area was cozy and clean and the menu was short but amazing. A true fine dining experience! We had a hard time deciding what to order and everything was seasonal. There was no cocktail menu so we ordered from the bar and there was a wine and cider menu. The service was pleasant and the fast and everything was delicious! We really appreciated the fresh and seasonal items. The duck flatbread was delicious with large pieces of duck. The root salad was incredible and was the definition of autumn and the Ramen bowl was beyond amazing and had a blood orange piece inside and the salmon was so fresh. The pumpkin creme brulee was literally the best we ever had. We left wishing we had a bed to lay down ! The next morning I finished the Ramen bowl and root salad and literally dreamed about it overnight! It was an exquisite dining experience and literally the best way to end our day at worlds end state park.

If you are looking to take some time off in a quiet, secluded, historical place....let me tell ya this is the place! Spent the weekend here recently for the wyoming valley ghost tours event and when i say that it was perfect for a ghost hunt because of the deafening silence i mean it....not a siren or loud muffler anywhere....which is why if you have a medical emergency, you need to be airlifted out of this quiet hamlet.... The rooms get a 4 star only because the two outlets for charging things are behind the headboards of the beds and not really convenient but again its historical so these are the crosses you bare....otherwise the place was clean and beautiful.... The food was also fantastic both at the inn and in town...pricing is normal... I recommend this place for the history...the nature...the customer service and the silence lol....

We enjoyed our serene weekend at the Inn. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is very good. We enjoyed a good dinner and cocktails after hiking. The town is SO quiet in a way that we loved. If nature, silence, and walking appeal to you- this is the place.

We had a lovely experience! We came to Eagles Mere for the first time, not understanding that the off season is truly quiet. No cars, no people, hardly any other guests at the Inn. Jim the Innkeeper was friendly and welcoming, and we had delicious breakfast each day. We were surprised to find most of the stores and museums etc closed, and it was interesting to learn that most of the houses are unheated summer houses and the residents don't appear until May. Still, it was delightfully quiet. The Inn is really nice, the rooms very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the porch rocking chairs watching it rain. Thursday evening we had dinner downstairs at the Drinkery, the grilled cheese with bacon and crab is Amazing! I highly recommend visiting here, off season or in season.

Stayed two nights while in town for business and couldn't imagine a better place to stay. As one who is constantly staying in chain hotels, the inn offered a wonderful break. Very friendly staff, the rooms were very clean and adequate. The breakfast is complimentary and better than most paid breakfasts I eat while traveling. The associated restaurant had a simple yet interesting menu, and I can tell you, the burger was insanely good. Can't wait to return during my next trip to Eagles Mere.

Wow! What a lovely stay! The Inn was PERFECT . The staff friendly, professional and eager to help with any situation. The common areas were diverse from quiet for reading to active for social engagement. The location was ideal for a quick stroll to town or a bike ride to the lake. The room so inviting and amazingly comfortable . I can’t say enough positive about my stay . If you haven’t gone , GO!!!
